New Delhi, India: October 2, 2012 – Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist: I wrote one book on Mahatma Gandhi in 1950 immediately after the Constitution was enacted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, which came into effect exactly on the same date in 1950.
I regarded Gandhiji, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru and Mr. Mohd. Ali Jinah equally Genius Lawyers and their individual and combined sacrifices given by them for the freedom of Undivided India, were unparalleled and I always appreciated.”
I titled my book as “ How three Genius Lawyers Shaped India?” Before its release I wanted some clarification from the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, since he had a close tie and understanding with Gandhiji. I sent the copy to him before its publication and moreover it was mandatory for me to get prior approval of its publication being in service.
My first question that I put in the book as a citizen of India and a humble author was who gave the title of “Father of the Nation” to Gandhiji, was it his personal decision or a group resolution?
My second question which I put to Mr. Nehru how far he was ambitious to become the Prime Minister of India.
Gandhiji was against the partition of India, and he specifically requested Mr. Mohd Ali Jinah that if he drops the idea of the partition of the country, he would get him the seat of the Prime Minister should he so desire. He would ask Jawaharlal to give up his idea of becoming the Prime Minister and allow that position to go to Mohd Ali Jinah.
